Scripture and Listening

As a Protestant Christian and, in particular, an Anglican-Methodist, the first place I go to in order to find my true north is Holy Scripture. I believe the Bible is the inspired, written Word of God for God’s people, which reveals His good and perfect will for both individuals and the global Church. I also believe that the Holy Spirit speaks to us through Scripture, guiding and correcting us when necessary. If I am able to approach Scripture without bias or preconceived ideas and allow the Spirit to speak to me through the words, I generally find that God will direct, or redirect me, towards His path.
