Contemplative Prayer

This is a practical study of Contemplative Prayer. It doesn’t attempt to present a history of the earlier origins of Christian practice. We will consider Contemplative Prayer as focused prayer. We discipline our minds to be still, open the ears of our hearts to listen. And allow God to fill us with Himself. You will be introduced to various forms of Contemplative Prayer. The lessons in this course are intended to be descriptive, rather than prescriptive. You will learn some ways to pray. The course makes no assertion that this is “how to pray.” Communion with God is not achieved through a series of steps or a formula, but through a heart that desires to be with Him.
